or my observations while walking on the Neuse River Trail, and Smith Creek greenway.
The Neuse River Trail (NRT) or Greenway is close to where I live so I walk it every chance I get. I choose this title because it always amazes me that runners, walkers and bikers pass by me with singular focus and earphones in place. They miss out on the nature that is within eyesight and earshot of the paved path. Hawks, barred owls, osprey and even eagles search for food, call out for a mate or offspring or they are just plain vocalize their displeasure over a photographer standing and taking their image. All the photos on this page are from the NRT from mile marker 1 to 10.

The wood ducks generally don't stick around once they notice you.
